Got around to joining Lang-8. Now I can start posting those Japanese entries I have been writing during Anthropology class. That class is so boring.

Taking things one at a time here. I just got over a typical cold which really wasn’t something good just getting back to college. At least it’s over early so mid semester I might not succumb to anything remotely body aching.

This 8 people in a dorm thing isn’t as bad as I really imagined it to be and I don’t really get the privacy I would want but it’s just for a semester so I think it’s tolerable.

That initial sense of lostness and depression that I felt getting up here has evaporated as I assumed it would. I’ve found things to do and making the most of things. Classes are decent but still shitty because they are just the classes that I don’t really care about. But you know education in America, you have to be some kind of well rounded being or something. I’ll just forget about it anyway. Least that’s how I feel.

I joined the Kendo club here, and I’m looking forward to participating in that since I really wanted to do it in Japan, but didn’t because of what I heard about the club’s treatment of foreign students.

Things have been fine. I’m content I guess. I love the weekends since they feel so carefree. I really should make an effort to write down little thoughts so that when I do feel an urge to write here I’ll have something to write…
